In the only darkness that cloaks the skies of Turais, the planet of ineffable life, I fell asleep tired after a search that lasted days. In reality it was my imaginary journey, which took me far away, beyond the known spheres of space and time, where the anxiety and melancholy of my earthly life could not extend their coils. That fastidious vitae that gripped my soul and darkened my thoughts found comfort in those mental forays, the fruit of my childhood imagination. Yet it was the only cure against the virus that was destroying me little by little, consuming all my energy.
Under the skies of Turais I dreamed of Mekar 1 , the silent satellite, and its seas that had found the voice to invoke my help. I knew that I would have to go to the prince planet to succeed in the undertaking and in the Special Data formless existence that I led millions of mental parsecs away on Earth. I closed my eyes, isolating my mind from the vanity that surrounded me. It was then that Turais and his creatures spoke to me with clear and evocative images. Flashes of knowledge came from the cobalt blue clouds of the sky and emotions in the form of flame penetrated my heart with the force of a solar flare.
It was Mekar's suffering that was now my pain. And the rain that fell on Turais, in that portentous night of vigil, was the cry of an ancient life that languished in its last feeble sigh. There was only one decision left to make, which cheered my soul beyond all imagination. All that remained was to go to Mekar once again, beneath the surface of the Silent Seas, to dive into its heatless waters, ever deeper into the most ancient Abysses of time. When I opened my eyes again, I smiled. And I closed them again, for the last trip. And for the last time.
